This year, KONNEKT will be supporting ZEST, Malta's biggest digital business event. The event is being coordinated by Malta Communications Authority (MCA), the TAKEOFF Business Incubator and a number of key players on the tech startup scene, who are working together to launch this innovative conference.

The event's theme is breaking borders. This refers to the blurring of lines between industries, professions and countries or regions. This is particularly relevant today because of the way every industry is being disrupted and reshaped. A number of pioneers in the industry, such as the likes of Airbnb, Uber and Netflix, have undoubtedly changed the rules. Marketers are no longer viewed as creatives, but rather as numbers people, coders, or even scientists.
Spread over two days the event will feature two parallel conferences – one focusing on disruptive trends and the other on startups. ZEST will feature a tech demo space, a buzzing network piazza, a hip coworking space, and for those who want to get the most out of the event, there will also be a ZEST after-party.
As Etienne Gatt, IT & iGaming recruitment manager at KONNEKT explained, “As part of the growth of our technology and iGaming recruitment division we felt that supporting the event is in line with our vision to put Malta on the digital map. Events like these promote the sharing of ideas as well technology transfer”.
Leading the discussion at the event will be an extraordinary lineup of international and locally renowned speakers and distributors, most of which are at the helm of such disruptive endeavours, and coming from remarkable companies such as HotJar, Funderbeam, Jobbatical, Leaf Music, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Gartner, Forbes, Leo Burnett and TechStars, to mention but a few.
