The second edition of SiGMA, a four day conference which brings together several main players from the local IT and iGaming scene to share their knowledge and network, was held earlier this month. KONNEKT IT Recruitment Specialists were among the delegates and had the opportunity to interact and share experiences with several guests and international speakers.

The format of the summit included two conferences each day. The first day revolved around gamification and the importance of this technique and the way forward as an industry. Following that, more focus on SEO and Affiliates networks was given during the second conference of the day. The gamification conference gave particular focus to new trends in gamification and how this suite of techniques can be used to leverage customers' engagement whilst providing a new gaming experience. The SEO conference discussed how SEO and targeted marketing campaigns can be improved to guarantee results and visibility.

On the second day, discussions revolved around anti-fraud and the building of secure gaming platforms and online casinos, and Bitcoin, more specifically, how Bitcoin - a relatively new currency - is affecting the industry. The second part of the conference saw different industry professionals discussing the regulatory developments that impact the industry. Regulatory sessions discussed how threats such as match fixing and and new regulations impinge on the modus operandi of gaming companies, specifically their anti-fraud and regulatory departments.
