Our client, an international CSP is looking to recruit a Head of Client Accounting to join their team.
Main responsibilities include :
- Lead, oversee, and further develop the Client Accounting Department, aligning departmental strategy with the firm’s overall business objectives
- Manage the timely preparation and submission of financial statements, management accounts, and statutory filings for clients
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to team members, promoting a high-performing and growth-oriented culture
- Continuously assess operational workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and service quality
- Drive digital transformation initiatives by identifying automation opportunities and supporting the implementation of new systems and technologies
- Support business development efforts by cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, AML regulations, and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with Tax, Corporate Services, Fiduciary, and other internal teams to provide integrated and seamless client solutions
- Oversee departmental billing and collections while reporting financial and operational performance to the Board
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- At least five years of experience in a senior or managerial role within a Client Accounting environment
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset
- Previous experience within a legal practice, Corporate Services Provider (CSP), or the gaming industry will be considered an advantage
- Sound knowledge of Maltese income tax and VAT regulations
