The ICTSA Industry Expo, which is an annual ‘do, was organised in collaboration with the University of Malta’s Faculty of ICT and is regarded as a great opportunity for students to network with their potential future employers and find out more about IT jobs in Malta. The Expo took place on Saturday 7 November at the Faculty of ICT, from 14:30 till 18:30, and was also open to the public. In attendance were mainly individuals studying ICT fields. More than twenty companies and main players in the IT and Gaming industries set up stands at the Expo and exposed students to opportunities within their organisations. KONNEKT was the only recruitment agency in attendance.
As part of the event, a fun Coding Competition was developed by the IT Recruitment Specialist team within KONNEKT, in collaboration with PreeoStudios. Participants were required to provide a solution to a problem, written in code.
Three winners were randomly selected and received a Starter Kit which included a ticket to the Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens Premier screening, to be held on December 17th at the Eden Cinemas in Paceville. Winners received their gifts at KONNEKT offices in San Gwann.
