An established language services company with an international client portfolio is growing its team in Malta. They are looking for detail-driven Maltese Translators who take pride in delivering exceptional service to clients around the world.
Responsibilities:
Translate and revise content from English (and other source languages) into Maltese ensuring linguistic accuracy, style consistency and cultural appropriateness.
Perform quality assurance checks including proofreading, editing, and compliance with company and client standards - to ensure linguistic consistency, style adherence, and error-free deliverables.
Develop, maintain, and manage terminology databases and style guides to ensure consistency across all projects.
Deliver tailored training and guidance to colleagues (freelancers and other in-house linguists) on tools, processes, and best practices.
Monitor and improve translation workflows, recommending process enhancements for efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with project managers and the Quality Manager to meet tight deadlines and client expectations.
Able to multitask and manage multiple translation assignments efficiently.
Support continuous improvement of translation processes through evaluation and feedback loops.
Requirements
Native proficiency of the Maltese language; both written and spoken
Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of other languages such as German, Italian or Spanish will be considered an asset
Proven experience in Maltese translation and/or Certificate in Maltese proofreading is an asset
Education and Experience
MQF Level 6, ideally in Translation and Languages but other qualification will also be considered
