We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Bid Manager to join an international company. In this pivotal role, you will lead the bid process, ensuring the successful delivery of proposals that meet client needs and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve bids and pre-qualification questionnaires from client portals.
- Analyse Requests for Proposals (RFPs), identifying and interpreting all requirements.
- Coordinate and submit pre-qualification documentation in accordance with client specifications.
- Communicate proposal and tender requirements to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Review tender documents to identify key deliverables, develop response strategies, and coordinate the creation of supporting documentation within defined timelines.
- Lead bid preparation meetings to ensure alignment across all contributors and adherence to submission schedules.
- Understand and articulate the company’s value proposition through clear, concise, and compelling proposal content tailored to each opportunity.
- Collaborate with the business development team to gather relevant insights from internal stakeholders and prospects, enhancing the quality and relevance of bid content.
- Maintain and continuously develop a centralized content library for efficient reuse of proposal and bid documents.
- Update and manage the Proposal Tracker and Sales Pipeline databases regularly.
- Prepare high-quality presentations for senior management, clients, and the Board in relation to bid opportunities and strategies.
- Support the Commercial Manager through research on market trends, clients, and industry developments, and contribute to related reporting.
Requirements:
- Ideally a degree related to journalism, communications, and / or marketing
- Ideally have a bid writing experience or journalistic background
- Ideally experience in the medical services sector
- Knowledgeable and experienced in writing of proposals and attending to tenders in a complex business environment.
- Experience working in an international environment would be preferable.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines.
