Our client, operating in the shipping and logistics industry, is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their growing team.
In this role, you will be taking care of a specific logistics terminal and its connectivity and troubleshooting. The company is looking for a Junior who wants to learn, grow and make a career out of this niche work.
What you'll be doing:
Ensuring effective and timely resolution of IT issues, guided by department superiors, across Level 2 issues
Managing and configuring user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Assisting in the implementation and improvement of IT policies, procedures, and documentation
Participating in system upgrades, rollouts, and hardware/software deployment projects.
Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying potential issues.
Supporting end-users by troubleshooting technical issues both remotely and onsite.
Liaising with third-party vendors and service providers as needed.
Staying up to date with emerging technologies to contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
Good understanding of networking, including subnetting, TCP/IP, and VLANs
Experienced with Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Data Directory
Basic knowledge of VMware and how virtualization works
Fluency in Maltese is a must
Driving license or in the process of obtaining it.
Education and Experience
Minimum MQF Level 4 related to IT
1 year of experience in an IT administration role or internship experience.
