We are seeking a hands-on IT Local Support Technician to provide first-line and on-site IT support at a country office level. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with users, solving technical issues, and supporting day-to-day IT operations while collaborating closely with a central IT team.
As the local point of contact for IT-related matters, you will ensure the smooth operation of workplace technology while following established IT governance, security standards, and escalation procedures. The role operates without permanent administrative access, relying on approved, task-specific access provided by central IT.
Responsibilities
Provide first-line, on-site IT support to local users
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Support user onboarding and offboarding activities
Set up, upgrade, replace, and install IT equipment and peripherals
Perform physical IT tasks such as cabling and device deployment
Support printers, meeting room technology, and local IT equipment
Execute approved IT tasks using temporary or task-specific access
Requirements
Working knowledge of Windows environments, Office 365, and SharePoint
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and common hardware platforms
Hands-on, practical approach to troubleshooting
Education and Experience
Diploma-level qualification or equivalent experience in IT or a related field
1 year of experience in a helpdesk or on-site IT support role or fresh grad with internship experience
Clean driving licence and own transport due to office accessibility
