IT Support Specialist

  South of Malta  |  Up to €32,000 Annually 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support and systems administration within a central IT function. This role supports a modern, enterprise IT environment and holds elevated administrative access in line with approved policies and security controls.

The position plays a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and well-governed IT services across multiple locations, working closely with business users, technical teams, and approved external partners.

Responsibilities

User and System Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, operating systems, and business applications
  • Diagnose and resolve second-line hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Provide technical support to users across corporate and remote locations

User and Access Administration

  • Administer user accounts, devices, and permissions in accordance with approved access policies
  • Support user onboarding, offboarding, and role-based access changes
  • Perform privileged administrative tasks responsibly and in line with governance controls

Infrastructure and Technology Support

  • Support corporate IT infrastructure, including networks, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Assist with system upgrades, technology deployments, and office infrastructure projects
  • Support server room organisation, backups, and replication activities as required

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft enterprise environments, including Entra ID, Intune, and Microsoft 365
  • Solid understanding of endpoint management, access control, and TCP/IP networking
  • Exposure to cloud services and modern workplace technologies
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Clean driving licence and own transport due to office accessibility

Education and Experience

  • Degree-level qualification in Information Systems, IT, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a hands-on IT support or systems administration role
