IT Support Officer

The IT Support Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisation’s IT systems, networks, and hardware. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain systems, networks, and the overall IT infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and endpoint issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage system backups and data integrity processes.
• Provide first- line of technical support to staff, ensuring prompt ticket resolution and proper escalation when required.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights across core systems and services.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches for operating systems and applications. 

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Windows-based environments
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with non-technical users

Education and Experience

• Diploma in Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year experience of experience or fresh grads with internship exposure.
• Located in Malta and local experience
