IT Support Officer
Central Malta
The IT Support Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisation’s IT systems, networks, and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain systems, networks, and the overall IT infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and endpoint issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage system backups and data integrity processes.
- Provide first- line of technical support to staff, ensuring prompt ticket resolution and proper escalation when required.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights across core systems and services.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches for operating systems and applications.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Windows-based environments
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with non-technical users
Education and Experience
- Diploma in Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience of experience or fresh grads with internship exposure.
- Located in Malta and local experience
