IT Administrator

  Central Malta  |  €35,000 - €45,000 Annually 

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail detail-oriented IT Administrator to manage and maintain their IT infrastructure and provide essential technical support. 

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of their IT services, from resolving user issues to maintaining system integrity and security. If you are a reliable problem-solver with a knack for administration and excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Service Desk

  • Answer and log incoming IT support requests, aiming for 'fix on first call' resolution over the phone or remotely.
  • Manage all other incoming support emails, accurately documenting issues and distributing them to relevant departments as needed.
  • Monitor high-impact IT issues to ensure appropriate staff deployment and timely resolution.
  • Procure hardware and software in strict adherence to established purchasing procedures.
  • Systematically and analytically troubleshoot technical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Contribute to maintaining robust security, backup, and redundancy strategies for all IT systems.

IT Administration

  • Oversee the maintenance of the IT system, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded, updated, or removed when necessary.
  • Manage staff accounts for email and the management information system, actioning all approved user account updates promptly.
  • Provide comprehensive email support for general IT access queries.
  • Conduct regular IT checklists for each individual site to proactively prevent common faults and ensure system health.

Requirements

  • A proactive and self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a personable and supportive demeanor.
  • Highly adaptable and possessing a strong eagerness to learn and master new technologies
  • A valid driving License

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years experience in an IT Support or IT Admin role
  • Experience with Windows, Linux
  • Familiar with Network infrastructure and cloud
