Our client, a leading local company, is looking to recruit a Project Manager (M&E). Reporting to the Head of Projects, the chosen candidate will be responsible to:
Review project documents, including scope, budget, and regulations;
Develop a detailed project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and resources required, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives;
Compile RFQs/tenders with drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities;
Implement quality control measures to maintain standards throughout the project; monitor compliance with safety regulations and address any violations promptly, and maintain safety communication and quality standards to all involved parties;
Manage documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including progress reports, change orders, and approvals, and ensure compliance with regulations, and safety standards;
Report any infringements on site, especially regarding company policies and health and safety regulations, to management;
Assist with procurement processes and contract reviews;
Facilitate site and quantity surveying functions carried out by the company, contractors, or consultants, followed by ensuring accuracy in surveying data and reporting;
Identify energy efficiency opportunities for the company’s facilities, and address any environmental concerns promptly;
Track project progress regularly and update the project plan as needed, reporting any shortcomings or deviations from the plan to management promptly;
Provide engineering expertise for small projects, and assist in the review and adjudication of engineering-related contracts;
Perform any other designated tasks assigned by the company.
Requirements
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role;
Those with a project management qualification and project management experience in engineering services and/or construction, will be given preference.
Ability to work unsupervised and work in multi-disciplinary teams;
Ablility to work flexible hours, with a valid driving license;
Education and Experience
MQF Level 6 Qualification or equivalent in M&E Engineering would be considered an asset;
Proficiency and experience in the use of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office;
Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental best practice.
