Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of IT to develop and execute the company’s technology strategy while leading the delivery of major IT initiatives.
The successful candidate will ensure that all technology solutions align with the company’s overall business objectives, enhance data-driven decision-making, and strengthen governance and cybersecurity across the organisation..

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation’s IT strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Lead and oversee the delivery of major IT projects across multiple business units.
- Strengthen IT governance, risk management, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Promote collaboration and alignment among IT teams across subsidiaries and regions.
- Drive technology transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and performance across the organisation.
- Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to IT managers and teams.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights for senior management.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior IT leadership role.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading technology transformation and implementing best practices.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align IT initiatives with organisational goals.
- Experience in building and maintaining cohesive IT governance frameworks across multiple business units.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior IT leadership role.
- Located in Malta and local experience
