Network Technical Specialist ( Gozo )

A telecom company is looking for a Network Technical Specialist to join its Gozo-based team. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and troubleshooting fibre and coaxial network infrastructure across the island.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults in the HFC network to minimise downtime.
  • Perform regular maintenance on fibre and coaxial infrastructure.
  • Carry out fibre and coaxial splicing and assist in new network builds.
  • Support health and safety protocols and environmental standards.
  • Mentor junior technicians and engage in ongoing technical training.

Requirements

  • Experience with HFC access networks (fibre and coax)
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and splicing fibre/coax cables
  • Basic understanding of RF and power principles
  • Ability to read and follow network design documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset
