Network and Security Team Lead

Our locally known client is on the lookout for a Network and Security Team Lead to join their team in Malta.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Leading day-to-day operations for the Network and Security Team, setting Team Sprints, monitoring progress, and guiding team members to task completion.

• Project managing and leading Strategy projects involving the Network and Security Team, maintaining project timelines and technical documentation.

• Managing and maintaining IT Systems, providing support, resolving issues, and ensuring stable operation whilst administering SQL database applications and Microsoft 365.

• Maintaining and supporting security communications equipment such as CCTV, Access Control, and PABX systems.

• Managing and coordinating system applications, server, and network hardware upgrades.

• Coordinating and assisting in monitoring security alerts, audits, and managing IT security incidents.

• Implementing, managing, and administering security tools such as SIEM system, anti-virus, anti-malware, web filtering, and email anti-spam

• Executing the DR plan and maintaining the Unit’s Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan.

Requirements

• Either a Degree (Level 6) in Computer Science or a similar IT-related field coupled with 5 years of work experience in a similar role OR a Diploma (Level 6) in IT coupled with 7 years of experience in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with maintaining and managing an IT infrastructure including LAN and WAN, Active Directory and Windows.
• Advanced understanding of IP Networks.
• Knowledge of risk assessment tools.
• Expertise in anti-virus software and firewalls.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery.
