We are currently supporting an international manufacturing company recruit an IT System Engineer to support the business by leading system support, maintenance, deployments, and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Support & Maintenance
Configure, optimize, and maintain core systems like Microsoft Windows Servers (WSUS, DNS, AD), SQL Servers, and PKI systems (e.g., Microsoft CA, PrimeKey).
Deliver expert-level support (Level 3) for the business and third-party software, handling complex issues and root cause analysis.
Operate PKIs, perform Certificate Authority Operator duties, and ensure compliance with EIDAS/ICAO standards.
Lead incident and problem management, restoring and resolving issues effectively.
Deployments & Change Management
Ensure quality through documentation reviews, testing, and design validation.
Design systems that balance functionality, security, and performance, adhering to ITIL change management best practices.
Oversee deployment, testing, and integration, ensuring smooth system transitions.
Stakeholder & Knowledge Management
Chair technical meetings and support disaster recovery testing.
Document and share technical knowledge, including user guides and training materials.
Maintain IT compliance standards and coach junior team members.
Requirements
3-5 years experience in enterprise system maintenance and operations.
Proficiency in powerShell scripting, Windows Server features (AD, DNS, Hyper-V), and Cisco network configurations.
Strong technical documentation and communication skills; additional European languages are a bonus.
MCCA clearance is required, there candidates must already be residing in Europe for a minimum of 5 years in order to obtain clearance
Available to work on-call for one week each month. Compensation includes a standard on-call allowance, with additional payment for any tickets resolved during the on-call period.
Fluency in written and spoken English
Education and Experience
Docker certified associate, Certified Kumernetes Administrator, Azure Administrator, CCNA, Microsoft Certifications - all a plus
