Our client, operating in the manufacturing industry, has a new opportunity for an IT Manager to oversee all aspects of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and alignment with business needs.
Responsibilities :
- IT Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals and future growth.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee IT systems including servers, networks, PCs (including machinery-integrated), and telecoms. Lead migration to a Microsoft-based environment.
- Software Licensing: Manage software licenses (e.g., Solidworks, Autodesk, Altium, LabVIEW), ensuring compliance and cost-efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and grow the IT team, plan future resourcing, and transition away from external IT support.
- Vendor Management: Oversee external IT contractor and manage relationships with software and service providers.
- Production Database Oversight: Maintain the proprietary production planning database and collaborate on improvements.
- End-User Support: Ensure timely support for ~80 users across 150+ devices and maintain support documentation.
- Security & Compliance: Implement strong cybersecurity and ensure compliance with regulations and licensing.
- Budget Management: Manage the IT budget to ensure cost-effective operations and investments.
- External Liaison: Coordinate with IT contractors and vendors during the transition and as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in managing and supporting IT infrastructure within a business environment, preferably in a manufacturing or technology-focused organization.
- In-depth technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and IT security.
- Experience in database management, particularly with custom-built systems or production planning tools.
- Strong leadership ability, with experience in building and managing high-performing IT teams.
- Proficient in vendor and contractor management
- Skilled in managing software licenses, especially for engineering and technical applications such as SolidWorks, Autodesk, Altium, and LabVIEW.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
