We are looking for an IT Core Banking Systems Specliast to join our client's high-performing team. The successful candidate will overlook the implementation of new projects, dedicated primarily to core software critical systems, data extraction and cybersecurity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Actively support core banking systems, managing configurations, maintenance, support, and deployment across various environments for optimal performance, security, and compliance.
- Contribute to implementing new IT projects and aligning IT and cybersecurity policies with industry standards.
- Maintain core Banking system, ETL processes, databases, scripting tools, and software updates.
- Ensure maximum availability and performance of systems and infrastructure through monitoring and maintenance.
- Perform installations, upgrades, configurations, troubleshooting, and resource optimization.
- Identify and resolve IT operation issues, escalating to third-party service providers when necessary.
- Monitor supplier SLA compliance and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans while participating in decision-making for new IT systems, deploying cybersecurity policies, managing IT infrastructure, and upholding IT operations best practices, including documentation updates.
Requirements
- Accumulate a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in supporting and maintaining IT infrastructure, preferably within the financial services industry in Malta, focusing on core banking systems, ETL, databases, and scripting.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
- Possess expertise in Cloud platforms and architectures.
- Exhibit excellent proficiency in Microsoft operating systems, services, and products, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Domain controllers, and Microsoft 365.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in IT or any relevant field
- Professional certifications in relevant technologies will be considered an asset
