Our client is a leading financial institution who are looking to bring in a Head of IT Operations to oversee the management of the Bank's IT operations and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head of IT in executing the Bank’s IT Strategy.
Design and deliver the Bank’s infrastructure roadmap.
Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure efficient IT operations.
Supervise the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of the Bank’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and data centres.
Develop and oversee the Bank’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Manage the IT operations and infrastructure budget, ensuring optimal cost efficiency and resource utilisation.
Oversee the Service Delivery function to provide effective and timely first-line support to business users.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal obligations related to IT operations and infrastructure.
Work collaboratively with InfoSec, Risk, Compliance, and Business Units to support effective organisational performance.
Lead and mentor the IT operations and infrastructure team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Contribute actively to the Bank’s IT Governance framework.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in IT operations and infrastructure management in the banking or financial services industry
Strong leadership and management skills
Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and data centres/cloud;
Experience with project management and implementation of new systems and infrastructure
Knowledge of banking operations, including the regulatory environment and compliance requirements would be a plus
