Working in close collaboration with Project Leaders, the Quantity Surveyor oversees the financial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out continuous cost reviews to ensure projects remain aligned with financial objectives.
- Administer interim valuations and support the overall cost control process.
- Prepare monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports and monitor project financial performance.
- Conduct precise site measurements and maintain comprehensive project records.
- Track and record materials issued to and returned from each project.
- Work closely with Project Leaders to validate subcontractor pricing and optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare and submit claims in line with project specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities.
- Manage variation claims arising from design changes and liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding associated costs.
- Review subcontractor payments and issue the required certifications for invoicing purposes.
- Ensure all project activities comply with applicable Health and Safety regulations.
- Uphold quality standards while adhering to company procedures, policies, and site practices.
- Support the resolution of client and subcontractor disputes in a professional and constructive manner.
- Safeguard confidential information to maintain strong client relationships and trust.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and maintain industry compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 3 years of local experience in construction project management, cost control, or similar roles is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management principles, and construction materials.
- Fluency in English
