Working in close collaboration with Project Leaders, the Quantity Surveyor oversees the financial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company objectives.
Responsibilities:
Carry out continuous cost reviews to ensure projects remain aligned with financial objectives.
Administer interim valuations and support the overall cost control process.
Prepare monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports and monitor project financial performance.
Conduct precise site measurements and maintain comprehensive project records.
Track and record materials issued to and returned from each project.
Work closely with Project Leaders to validate subcontractor pricing and optimize resource allocation.
Prepare and submit claims in line with project specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities.
Manage variation claims arising from design changes and liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding associated costs.
Review subcontractor payments and issue the required certifications for invoicing purposes.
Ensure all project activities comply with applicable Health and Safety regulations.
Uphold quality standards while adhering to company procedures, policies, and site practices.
Support the resolution of client and subcontractor disputes in a professional and constructive manner.
Safeguard confidential information to maintain strong client relationships and trust.
Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and maintain industry compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
3 years of local experience in construction project management, cost control, or similar roles is preferred.
Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management principles, and construction materials.
