Cost Controller

  South of Malta  |  €22,000 - €40,000 Annually 

Our client, a well-established company in the hospitality industry, is seeking to recruit a Cost Controller to join their team. The client is looking for candidates at all levels, from entry-level to senior professionals.

Main responsibilities :

  • Consistently prepare detailed reports on material costs, stock levels, inventory turnover, and potential issues.
  • Investigate food and beverage cost variances in comparison to budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure precise documentation of all stock movement, including incoming and outgoing items.
  • Conduct random checks during invoice receipt and posting processes.
  • Perform regular and ad-hoc stock counts and spot checks across various outlets.
  • Analyze discrepancies identified during inventory cycle counts and stock-takes.
  • Coordinate with auditors during audits, with a focus on inventory-related matters.
  • Finalize monthly cost control reports.
  • Monitor food and beverage waste levels and implement strategies for reduction.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Provide support to the cost control operations of an affiliated company.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with good task prioritization and time management skills.
