Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Commercial Tenders Manager to join its Business Development team at the Corporate Office. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, managing, and pursuing bid opportunities across multiple channels, covering both private and government procurement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor bid opportunities through various procurement portals and communication channels.
- Analyse Requests for Proposals (RFPs), tender requirements, and submission criteria.
- Prepare, compile, and submit pre-qualification and tender documentation in line with deadlines and specifications.
- Communicate proposal and tender requirements to senior management and key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Review tender documents to determine requirements, establish bid preparation timelines, and coordinate contributions across departments.
- Lead bid preparation meetings, ensuring all contributors remain aligned with objectives and timelines.
- Develop clear, concise, and compelling proposal content that effectively communicates the company’s value proposition and competitive advantage.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development team and internal departments to gather the necessary information and insights for high-quality submissions.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of bids through client portals or, when required, prepare and deliver hard copy submissions.
- Seek and record feedback on both successful and unsuccessful bids to enhance the quality and effectiveness of future submissions.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of bids, submissions, and progress reports to facilitate tracking and follow-up.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in procurement, tendering, or bid management, ideally across diverse sectors.
- Proven track record in preparing and winning tender or bid proposals.
- Experience with government-related project bids is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying will be considered an asset.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce structured, persuasive, and accurate proposals.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and coordination skills.
