Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Officer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies, including budget management, sourcing initiatives, and supplier performance evaluation.
Manage the full supplier lifecycle, from sourcing and qualification to contracting and ongoing relationship management.
Ensure efficient and compliant procurement processes, including ERP data management, purchase requisitions, and order processing (both MRP-driven and manual).
Coordinate non-stock purchase orders across departments, ensuring timely and accurate execution aligned with operational needs.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support supply planning and ensure effective technical coordination with suppliers.
Oversee import processes and ensure timely, compliant supply, resolving issues such as returns and deviations when necessary.
Maintain audit readiness and ensure full compliance with GMP and Quality Management System requirements.
Monitor and continuously improve procurement processes to drive operational efficiency and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
MQF Level 6 qualification, or MQF Level 5 with relevant experience in supply chain or procurement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred, along with knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and/or SAP systems.
Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and documentation; experience handling dangerous goods shipments is advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools.
Solid understanding of GMP and quality compliance standards.
