Our client within the Healthcare Industry is looking to expand their team and are seeking a Supply Chain Officer. This role involves managing the ordering and follow-up of materials used in the production process, maintaining and updating procurement records, and coordinating logistics for imports and exports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of materials required for production.
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation.
- Coordinate and oversee import/export logistics.
- Handle shipping documentation and ensure compliance with safety and SOP requirements.
- Occasionally work within a controlled warehouse environment using personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- A diploma-level qualification or Advanced Level education with relevant experience in the supply chain sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of import/export processes and ability to manage shipment documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in paperwork and communication with third parties.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and/or SAP is an advantage.
- Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and handling of dangerous goods shipments is desirable.
- Highly self-motivated with a keen eye for detail.
