Our client operating in the Hospitality industry is looking for a Storekeeper to join their team and handle the responsibility for the storing and handling of all stock items in line with Health& Safety regulations and brand standard policies.
Responsibilities:
Support the Purchasing Manager by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control resource costs.
Communicate proactively with management, keeping the Purchasing Manager and Finance Director informed of any issues, risks, or operational concerns.
Participate in required training sessions and departmental meetings.
Oversee the storage, control, and distribution of hotel stock and supplies.
Process and maintain accurate records of stock requisitions, returns, and inventory movements using the designated purchasing and cost-control systems.
Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and stock rotation practices to minimize waste and ensure product quality.
Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and assist with stock audits and monthly stock takes.
Provide support for purchasing and goods receiving operations when needed, including covering staff absences.
Supervise, train, and support stores team members, helping to set and achieve departmental objectives.
Requirements
Previous local experience within a Stores/ Goods Receiving or Purchasing function essential.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Maltese speaking
Knowledge of Adaco
Prepared to carry heavy loads and rotation of stock and supplies
