We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Officer Procurement to join a dedicated team. This role is pivotal in managing the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring full transparency, fairness, and the best value for public funds.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, assess, and appoint suppliers; build and maintain relationships to ensure service levels and quality standards are met.
Assist in negotiating terms and collaborate with the Legal Department to draft, review, and monitor contracts.
Raise and process purchase orders, monitor stock levels, and forecast future requirements to ensure continuity.
Ensure all activities align with national and EU procurement legislation. Prepare reports on KPIs, supplier performance, and compliance.
Collaborate with governmental bodies to compile documentation for Calls for Tenders and Calls for Quotations.
Identify and mitigate procurement risks and maintain a list of alternative suppliers to safeguard against supply chain disruptions.
Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and ethical standards.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
Requirements
A recognized Bachelor’s degree (MQF Level 6 with min. 180 ECTS) in Public Administration, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Ideally a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in procurement.
Full professional proficiency in both Maltese and English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized procurement software.
Candidates with foreign qualifications must provide an MQRIC recognition statement.
