A leading FMCG company in Malta are looking for a Senior Buyer to drive the sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and logistics optimisation across a dynamic portfolio of brands.
Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement of core commodity items, working closely with internal teams to manage cost, availability, and quality.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and secure competitive deals.
- Monitor trends in the food and beverage market to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Support the preparation of purchase orders and the planning of consignments, in coordination with other team members.
- Collaborate with our logistics and administration teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Continuously seek out efficiency improvements and opportunities for margin growth.
Requirements:
- A hands-on professional with proven experience in buying food, beverage, or ingredient products.
- Familiar with procurement in FMCG, retail, or hospitality settings.
- A confident negotiator with excellent supplier relationship management skills.
- Commercially astute, with a keen sense of what moves in the market.
- Organised, decisive, and proactive.
- Comfortable using Excel and procurement platforms (Eyesel experience is an asset).
- Fluent in written and spoken English; Maltese is considered an asset.
The remuneration package will depend on the candidate's skills and experience
