Projects Procurement Specialist (Construction)

Our client is looking to recruit a Projects Procurement Specialist to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will:

• Align procurement activities with project budgets, schedules, and financial objectives to support successful project execution.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Department to conduct market research, analyze vendor offerings, and identify competitive rates and services to ensure best value for money.
• Conduct pre-qualification technical assessments of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) prior to tender awards or equivalent procurement processes.
• Track, monitor, and expedite orders in coordination with suppliers and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
• Work closely with Project Managers to forecast requirements and ensure procurement timelines support project milestones.
• Conduct supplier inspections, audits, and performance evaluations to verify adherence to quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate with the Procurement Department to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in procurement and supply chain processes.
• Apply industry best practices and standards to enhance purchasing efficiency, resource management, and overall procurement performance.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in procurement and purchasing within the construction industry is a must.
• Experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of procurement software and tools.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
• Written and verbal proficiency of both Maltese and English is a must.
