The Procurement and Shipping Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, coordinating shipping activities, and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. Expertise in procurement strategies, vendor management, and logistics coordination will be crucial to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Re-ordring of Direct Materials and Goods
- Update Consumption Records to Reflect Usage Trends.
- Regularly evaluate and adjust Safety Stock Levels and Re-order Thresholds.
- Monitor Product Expiries and Ensure Timely Procurement.
- Send Procurement Requests to Admin to Issue POs.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange shipments.
- Maintain spreadsheets or procurement software to track orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Source Alternative Suppliers and Obtain Competitive Quotes.
- Register and follow up on complaints with suppliers.
- Collaborate with vendors to acquire necessary compliance documents.
- Support the drafting, review, and renewal of supplier contracts.
- Create weekly and monthly reports detailing procurement metrics, such as order volume, savings achieved, and delivery times.
Requirements:
- Experience in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field would be considered an asset
- Experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the manufacturing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important for data analysis, creating reports, managing inventory, and tracking purchasing metrics
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
