The Procurement Senior Officer will be an integral part of the procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Manager. The role involves managing the procurement process with precision to ensure all project requirements are met at the best price, required quality, and delivered to the respective sites on time.
Responsibilities:
Negotiate and manage pricing with subcontractors and suppliers in line with BOQs, quality standards, and project requirements.
Source, assess, and select suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, compliance, and timely delivery.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontractor agreements, including specifications, delivery schedules, payment terms, and penalty clauses.
Obtain and evaluate quotations, comparing costs against tender rates, margins, and delivery timelines.
Manage the full procurement process from requisition to delivery, including order tracking and delivery scheduling.
Liaise with the Procurement Manager and project teams to support project procurement needs.
Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance, addressing non-compliance, claims, and penalties as required.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and implement efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
‘A’ Level education; CIPS or equivalent is an asset.
Previous procurement experience, preferably in construction.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Proficiency in English; Maltese preferred.
Computer literate.
Eligible to work in Malta with a clean police conduct certificate.
