We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and talented Procurement and Logistics Officer to join a well-established company in Malta. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible to:
Receive and meticulously review purchase requests, ensuring compliance with established procedures and documentation requirements.
Prepare necessary documentation for smooth material request processing.
Coordinate with shipping partners for efficient shipment bookings and handle port charges for incoming materials.
Communicate proactively with requestors, providing ETA for ordered materials and addressing any arising issues.
Collaborate with haulers and transportation partners to achieve timely and cost-effective goods delivery.
Liaise with Stores personnel to ensure optimal storage availability.
Manage logistics operations for efficiency, minimizing delays in material delivery.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, orders, and shipment details.
Ensure strict compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in procurement and/or logistics, showcasing your expertise in the field.
Exceptional communication skills in written and spoken English, Maltese is highly preferred
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Outstanding organizational abilities, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently.
Knowledge of shipping procedures, customs and port operations is advantageous.
Preference for applicants familiar with Digital Inventory Management Systems.
