Our client is seeking a Planning Scheduler to join their team. This role is critical for coordinating a fleet of trucks and ensuring seamless logistics between the plant and transportation operations.
The person will be responsible for daily coordination of drivers and vehicles to ensure efficient delivery schedules and requires a proactive communicator to bridge the gap between the plant manager and the driving fleet
The Main Responsibilities include:
Develop and optimise delivery routes while managing driver schedules and resource allocation
Record daily truck inspections carried out by drivers and monitor vehicle maintenance needs or faults
Act as the main liaison between drivers, the plant manager, and clients regarding timing, sick leave, and operational issues
Document client orders, maintain records in Excel, and track vehicle locations via GPS
Analyse performance metrics and prepare reports on fleet utilisation and scheduling efficiency for management
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 16:00, occasional unplanned overtime (roughly 1–2 times per month)
Requirements
Native or fluent proficiency in Maltese is mandatory.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using GPS tracking software.
Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under pressure.
Education and Experience
Previous experience in the construction sector is considered a strong asset, particularly regarding concrete and truck capacities
