Parts Storekeeper & Ordering Clerk

Our client is currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Parts Storekeeper & Ordering Clerk to oversee the inventory and procurement of parts for commercial catering equipment. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations by maintaining accurate stock levels, efficiently processing requisitions from service technicians, and managing timely ordering and deliveries from suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and properly store parts for equipment such as ovens, dishwashers, fryers, refrigeration units, and other commercial kitchen machinery.
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish inventory to avoid delays in service and repair operations.
  • Process and follow up on purchase orders with both local and international suppliers.
  • Collaborate closely with service technicians to identify and provide the necessary parts promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain a well-organized parts store, with clear labeling and a logical layout for efficient access.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and support full inventory audits.
  • Accurately record all stock movements using inventory management systems.
  • Manage returns for faulty or incorrectly supplied parts.
  • Keep detailed records of part usage, supplier invoices, and delivery documentation.
  • Provide regular updates to the service team regarding part availability and order status.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Maltese.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within catering equipment, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Strong familiarity with parts and components used in commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Solid understanding of stock control and procurement procedures.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with team members and suppliers.
