Our client within the Shipping and Transportation Industry is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Order and Warehouse Coordinator to manage the end-to-end process of handling supply orders for delivery to vessels. This role involves liaising with suppliers, monitoring inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of all orders. The ideal candidate will be proactive, IT-literate, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify client orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm item availability and delivery timelines.
- Inspect and collect supplies from vendors, ensuring quality and completeness prior to dispatch.
- Prepare and package stock items for delivery, ensuring correct labelling and presentation.
- Issue and prepare accurate invoices to accompany vessel deliveries.
- Communicate with the shipping and logistics team to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment to maintain availability.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to order fulfilment.
- Provide professional and prompt customer service, keeping clients informed about their orders.
Requirements:
- Ability to check orders thoroughly and ensure accurate dispatch.
- Capable of managing multiple orders and inventory tasks efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly address issues or discrepancies in the order process.
- Confident using inventory management systems, order processing software, and general IT tools.
- Able to prioritise workload and meet delivery deadlines, even under pressure.
- Previous experience in order processing, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with shipping or marine supply operations is an asset.
