Our client who operates in food manufacturing and distribution is looking to employe a Logistics Manager.
Reporting to the COO your responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage end-to-end logistics operations to ensure the timely and efficient distribution of goods and services.
Develop and implement effective route planning strategies to improve delivery efficiency, minimise fuel costs, and ensure on-time deliveries across all service areas.
Coordinate and monitor deliveries for Meals to You, retail outlets, customer orders, and contractual obligations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations across all logistics activities.
Manage logistics budgets, resources, and operational costs while maintaining high service standards and efficiency.
Oversee fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, preventive maintenance scheduling, and minimising operational disruptions caused by breakdowns.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate the logistics team, promoting high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Prepare and present operational reports, performance analyses, and improvement recommendations to the Chief Operations Officer.
Monitor overall logistics performance and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making abilities.
In-depth knowledge of logistics management, delivery coordination, and route optimisation.
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
Proficiency in logistics software, planning systems, and operational tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driving license.
Education and Experience
Previous experience in food transportation and catering would be ideal.
Experience in logistics and/or events is also desired.
Minimum Food Handler’s License B (or equivalent certification as required).
