An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Distribution & Logistics Executive to join a dynamic commercial team. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising daily distribution operations, ensuring timely deliveries, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The Main Responsibilities include:
Plan and execute daily distribution schedules for deliveries, ensuring optimisation of routes and resources
Monitor and analyse delivery performance across drivers, distributors, and agents, identifying and addressing deviations
Coordinate closely with drivers, distributors, and internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Ensure all customer orders are processed and delivered within agreed timelines
Maintain accurate data within company systems and ensure high data quality standards
Support the analysis of logistics and distribution KPIs and provide regular performance feedback
Assist with inventory control, including cylinder stock management, reconciliation, and returns
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, including regulations related to the transport of dangerous goods
Liaise with internal departments such as Customer Care, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment
Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics and distribution processes
Requirements
Strong understanding of logistics and distribution operations
Excellent organisational and planning skills with attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
Proactive, hands-on approach with problem-solving abilities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; experience with CRM systems is considered an asset
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar operational role
Experience in coordinating distribution or transport operations is preferred
Exposure to regulated environments (e.g. transport of hazardous goods) is considered an advantage
A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred
