Our client deals in mainly in construction material both locally and abroad and would like to engage a Head of Operations to streamline their operation. You must have experience in a similar role preference being to candidates having experience in International Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
The Role
- The Head of International Logistics reports to the General Manager and handles transportation and freight management by selecting transport modes, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and tracking shipments.
- You will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and logistics providers to negotiate quotes, contracts, and seek cost savings.
- You will training and manage a team of logistics operators, coordinators, and drivers.
- You will form part of the senior management team
Salary package depends on experience - 40K to 50K
Requirements
- You must have at least 4 years experience at a similar level
- The candidate should be fluent in Maltese and English, with basic knowledge of Italian considered an asset.
- Good communication skills, self-motivation, and proficiency in MS Office365 are essential.
