Our client is currently seeking a proactive and well-organized Client Support Officer to join their Ship Supply Team on a part-time basis. This role plays a key part in supporting the team’s operations and ensuring client expectations are consistently met. The position is based in Malta, with working hours starting at 13:00 (1:00 PM) onwards, Monday to Friday and the candidate will be reporting to the Procurement Manager.
The Key Responsibilities are:
- Process client quotations and orders using the Group’s internal systems.
- Request pricing from suppliers and follow up on outstanding quotations.
- Track and manage received prices, ensuring timely forwarding of offers to clients.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and discounts with suppliers.
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders via the company’s procurement platform.
- Assist with other tasks as required to support the team’s objectives.
Requirements
- Strong computer literacy and fluent in both Maltese and English, written and spoken.
- Prior experience in a similar role, ideally in procurement, logistics, or ship supply.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of sourcing and supplier management best practices.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Skilled negotiator with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Maintains a proactive attitude and thrives under pressure.
