The Buyer provides procurement services for both internal and external customers, ensuring the availability of required materials and services. The ideal candidate will consistently meet quality, cost, and lead-time targets, oversee the daily activities of the procurement team, and cultivate strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Support the Procurement Manager with high-value spend areas and operate in alignment with globally negotiated agreements
- Manage the onboarding and qualification of suppliers
- Lead, negotiate, and execute the purchase of goods and services for the business in the most efficient way
- Identify and research new sources of supply for site materials, goods, and services
- Work closely with planning teams to track schedules and changes in support of the production plan
- Analyse and plan material requirements to ensure customer needs are met
- Ensure all placed orders are delivered in full and on time
- Consistently act in accordance with all policies and guidelines, including those related to Environmental Health and Safety, ethical standards, and codes of conduct

Requirements
- One must have good negotiation skills.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or procurement.
- Ideally an A level standard of education.
- O level in accounts would be considered an asset.
