A client of ours within the Shipping Industry is looking for someone to join as a Manager within our Ocean Freight Forwarding Department. This role involves managing relationships with carriers, customers, customs, and agents while leading a team to deliver exceptional service and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor freight forwarding operations
- Manage the negotiation and contracting process with carriers, agents, and third-party logistics providers.
- Set team goals and monitor performance against operational KPIs
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring all service requirements are met.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of freight and shipping related regulations.
Requirements:
- A minimum A’level standard of education
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding or ship agency industry or experience in purchasing or logistics.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Computer literacy
- Ability to cooperate with and support other members of the team
- Fluency in English is a must
