Senior Software Developer

Our client, operating in the insurance industry, is looking for a motivated and passionate Senior Software Developer to join their growing team: 

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Evaluate project requirements and contribute to strategic technical decisions.
• Write clear, maintainable, and efficient code that aligns with best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in peer code reviews, offering constructive feedback to improve overall quality.
• Investigate and resolve software defects, identifying underlying issues and implementing effective fixes.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies, frameworks, and trends to continuously enhance skills.
• Collaborate within an agile development environment, actively engaging in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation, including system specifications, workflows, and procedures.
• Support and optimise existing applications through bug fixes, performance improvements, and new feature development.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and stakeholders, providing regular updates and escalating concerns when necessary.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals and object-oriented design principles.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript, Dataflex).
• nowledge of front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
