Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

Our client operating in the AI Sphere is looking for an experience Backend Engineer 

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimize the backend systems from the ground up.
• Lead the integration of AI/ML pipelines into real-time workflows.
• Design and maintain robust APIs for web and mobile clients.
• Own cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) with a focus on scalability and resilience.
• Prioritize code quality, testing, and continuous integration from day one.
• Collaborate closely with the founders (you'll be one of the first engineers).
• Champion type safety and performance in everything you touch.
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture and help grow the local team.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge with PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and RESTful APIs.
• A strong understanding of security best practices in modern backend systems.
• Interest in AI/ML tools and how they can be used to create smarter products.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to collaborate across functions.
• Familiarity with front-end/backend collaboration and DevOps pipelines.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of backend experience (Python preferred; FastAPI a bonus).
