QA Engineer (Automation)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shape how quality is built into our products by defining smart, risk-based testing approaches.
  • Design, build, and evolve automation frameworks across web, API, and backend services.
  • Test end-to-end user journeys, ensuring performance, reliability, and usability across platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and product owners to embed quality early (“shift-left”).
  • Drive continuous testing strategies that improve release confidence and reduce risk.
  • Support secure, compliant delivery by validating integrations, data integrity, and system behaviour.
  • Identify issues early, investigate root causes, and help teams improve how software is built.
  • Contribute to a culture of quality through best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in QA within the SDLC, with strong test automation exposure.
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar).
  • Comfortable working across UI, API, and backend testing environments.
  • Programming/scripting skills (JavaScript, Java, or Python).
  • Strong understanding of testing principles, CI/CD, and modern development practices.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Confident communicator who can work across both technical and business teams.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Cloud and DevOps fundamentals (e.g., Azure/AWS, CI/CD) certifications are considered an asset.
  • Spanish fluency is considered an asset but not essential.
