Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technology strategy, drive innovation, and oversee all technical operations as the company continues to grow and scale. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s technology vision, ensuring it aligns with business goals and future growth plans.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and forming part of the leadership team, the CTO will manage product development, infrastructure, information security, and all aspects of technology operations. The ideal candidate will combine strategic insight with hands-on leadership to deliver a robust, secure, and scalable technology platform.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s technology strategy and roadmap in line with business objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of core technology platforms and infrastructure.
- Ensure systems operate securely, efficiently, and in full compliance with data protection and industry standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Drive automation, scalability, and operational excellence across all technology functions.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Oversee major technology projects such as migrations, integrations, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and technology partners to align solutions with business needs.
- Provide technical insight and strategic guidance to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of payment systems, transaction processing, and integration with multiple acquirers.
- Strong technical expertise in software development, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and data security.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, GDPR, and other relevant compliance frameworks.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of senior leadership experience within technology, ideally in the payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.
