Our company is looking for a dedicated Truck Maintenance Assistant to help maintain, service, and repair our fleet to the highest operational standards. This role supports the Fleet Supervisor in ensuring reliability, safety, and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Assist in planning and carrying out in-house and mechanical repairs for company vehicles.
- Support the maintenance and servicing of the fleet’s mechanical and refrigeration systems.
- Help ensure all vehicles comply with VRT (Vehicle Roadworthiness Testing) and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Fleet Supervisor and mechanics to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workshop and storage areas.
- Assist with routine truck washing and upkeep to maintain fleet appearance.
- Dispense fuel as required and record all fueling activities accurately.
- Support in ordering, receiving, and organizing spare parts and materials.
- Keep inventory records updated, including items such as AdBlue, batteries, and other essential components.
- Maintain logs of repairs, services, and truck movements for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, safe, and productive work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks on time and to company standards.
Requirements
- Previous or Similar Truck Maintenance experience
- Team-oriented with good communication
- Electrical and Mechanical knowledge for heavy vehicles
- Holder of drivers license category C or C1
