We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shutterer to join our construction team for a high-end residential project located in the heart of Sliema. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, installing, and dismantling formwork systems to ensure the structural integrity and aesthetic quality of concrete structures.
Duties and responsibilities are but not limited to:
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine formwork requirements.
Measure, cut, and assemble timber or metal formwork for walls, columns, beams, and slabs.
Ensure all formwork is securely braced and aligned to withstand the pressure of liquid concrete.
Install various shuttering systems (traditional timber, modular panels, or specialized systems).
Collaborate with steel fixers to ensure reinforcement is correctly placed before pouring.
Supervise and assist with concrete pouring to ensure formwork stability.
Safe dismantling (striking) of shuttering once concrete has cured, ensuring no damage to the structure.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations on site.
Requirements
Proficiency in using hand and power tools (saws, drills, levels)
Ability to perform physical work
High level of accuracy in measurements and alignment to ensure structural safety
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Education and Experience
Proven experience as a Shutterer or Formwork Carpenter in residential or commercial construction
