Our esteemed client is currently seeking to recruit a Scientific Glass Blower within their Probes Section. This role offers a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to take a lead role in the production of high-quality glass-based sensors used in industrial and laboratory applications
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the in-house glasswork expert, overseeing all processes related to scientific glass blowing within the probes department.
Collaborate with the R&D team to contribute to the design and development of new glass-based sensor products.
Evaluate and refine existing glasswork processes to ensure product consistency and high-quality standards.
Support the transition from manual to automated and mechanized glass forming techniques.
Monitor and implement advancements in glassblowing tools, materials, and processes for continuous improvement.
Provide technical support and administrative oversight within the glass sensors production area.
Requirements
Minimum of five years' experience in scientific or industrial glassblowing.
Background in glass chemistry or related technical fields is advantageous.
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail, process-oriented, and well-organized.
