Maintenance Technician

=Our Client who is a well-established organization operating within an environmental and industrial processing environment is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preventive and predictive maintenance of a sorting plant and related equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and compliance with Health & Safety standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring a self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision and adapting to production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Ensure timely and correct start-up of sorting and counting lines and auxiliary equipment
• Monitor daily plant operations and support production through effective maintenance
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance to minimise downtime
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams
• Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site, ensuring full compliance with H&S procedures
• Identify and order spare parts while maintaining accurate stock records
• Compile and update maintenance logs and technical documentation
• Train other staff when required
• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and cleanliness of work areas
• Work shift patterns and overtime as required
• Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies and PPE requirements

Authority

• Stop plant operations in the event of safety hazards or risk of equipment damage
• Propose and implement initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and energy conservation

Education and Experience

• MCAST or HTD Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or Electrical License A or B.
