Machine Technician

One of our clients in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) is currently looking for someone to join their manufacturing / operations department as a Machine Technician and Setter. If this interests you, please find the job description below:

Duties and Responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Responsible for the precise setup, routine maintenance, and calibration of manufacturing equipment to ensure full alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).  
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults promptly to minimize production downtime.  
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs to ensure long-term equipment reliability.  
• Ensure all technical tasks are performed in strict accordance with established health and safety protocols.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding technical interventions, safety checks, and workplace housekeeping.  
• Close collaboration with the Maintenance Administrator and the wider production team to facilitate seamless daily operations.  
• Assist in the design, procurement, and commissioning of new manufacturing technologies.

Requirements

• Ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Strong communication skills are required, specifically a professional command of Maltese, English, and Italian (both written and spoken)
• Proactive problem-solver
• Capable of working independently with minimal oversight while upholding high quality standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy is essential for managing technical records

Education and Experience

• prior experience in a similar manufacturing environment is considered a significant asset
