Our client, that specialises in the design, and manufacturing of lifts and escalators is currently seeking a Lift Service Technician. Reporting to the Maintenance and Servicing Manager, you will be responsible for performing lift testing, conducting repairs, and carrying out fault-finding tasks in line with customer needs and business requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform repairs and fault-finding tasks in line with company policies and procedures.
- Identify root causes of issues and recommend or implement long-term solutions.
- Take part in on-call duties to respond promptly to client needs.
- Proactively monitor assigned client accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to promote teamwork and continuous learning within the company.
- Fully comply with occupational health and safety procedures, legal regulations, and company standards, ensuring all work aligns with the Code of Ethics.
- Maintain a professional and responsible approach when interacting with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Ensure all work is carried out to meet the company’s established quality standards.
- Verify the proper condition of equipment before use to ensure safe and effective operation.
- After completing each repair, confirm the lift is functioning correctly.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:30, with additional on-call duties on a rotational basis.
Requirements
- Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
- Able to read technical diagrams and use mobile tools/apps
- Valid driving licence required
- Fluent in English (Maltese is an asset)
- Experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Skilled in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing technical equipment
- Able to interpret circuit diagrams
Education and Experience
- MQF Level 4/5 in Electrical or Mechanical subjects preferred
